Life is like a good book.

I wasn't going to post today because, like an idiot, I posted everything on FB. Then I started thinking, on rough days, it will be easier to come back to this post than to search FB. Plus, maybe you all need a double dose of Gavin humor.

1. The swimming pool incident:

Gavin got a pool for his birthday. Well, it's an early birthday present. I forced Alan asked Alan very nicely to put it up today. Gavin loved it! As you can see in the picture, we had a small flood in the backyard. Apparently you can't lean on the side too far. The good news: Keegan can now sit in the pool. Before, the water was too high. So I just look at this as Gavin helping his brother. :)

2. NEVER wrap your cellphone in a towel and put it beside the pool!!!

See the pink towel? Yep....my cellphone was wrapped up in that. THANK GOODNESS I have a Lifeproof case. Did I actually find something Gavinproof?!? I didn't think that was possible! Watch, I'll wake up tomorrow to a fried phone, just because I said that.

3. Poor Keegan.

After all that swimming, Keegan was so tired. He was sitting in the floor, and just decided to take a nap. I left him there because I knew if I moved him, he'd wake up. Keegan is like his momma. If he doesn't get his sleep, he turns into a bear. So I didn't DARE move him! I am fixing Gavin's dinner, and all of a sudden Keegan starts crying. I turn around and Gavin is sitting ON TOP OF HIM putting a bucket on his head. I don't know if you can tell by the picture, but he didn't just place it on his head, he made sure it wouldn't come off easily. I ran in there, and was going to gently pull the bucket off  (he had fallen back asleep). Yeah.....my heart stopped for a minute. I gently tugged on it, nothing happened. I am sitting there thinking, "Oh no! This stupid bucket is stuck on his head. What am I going to do?!?" I sat there for a second. I was thinking about how I was NOT about to take my (almost) 10 month old to the ER and try to explain how he got a bucket stuck on his head. So I pulled just a little harder, and twisted it a tiny bit, and it came off. Of course, in the process, I woke up Keegan, but who cares! Buckets aren't in fashion anymore, and plus, Gavin needs that for Valentine's Day next year.

Keegan is getting his revenge, at this very moment. Gavin is trying to go to sleep, and Keegan keeps yanking his paci out of his mouth. What am I doing (besides blogging)? I am doing what every great mother does. I am laughing my head off....

Needless to say, Gavin has kept me busy today, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I like to think my life is like a good book....
